Traits

Crossbreed Whifflings only appear naturally through breeding, and are a cross of their parents' animal influences. Sometimes (rarely) sold through sales. Ex. Cat-dog. 

Any scent in the realm of including: woods, greens, natural unusuals. Woods being plants, or wood types in general, such as: logs, pine, maple, etc. Greens being non-flowering plant species and similar such as lemonbalm, parsley, etc. Natural unusuals being things in nature such as rainwater, meadow, or fruits. 

This scent category includes animals (such as wolf) & animal-adjacent smells such as honey or fur. 

This scent category includes desserts, gourmands, culinary, and drinks- which can be any assortment of types of food items. Different examples such as particular cinnamon rolls exist, or different sodas, and the list continues. A very broad category.

PLEASE NOTE: Fruit USED to be in this category and is now in the COMMON NATURAL category. Anything that has PROCESSED FRUIT is still in this category. Such as candied cherries or similar.

This category includes any number of smells of manufactured types such as candles, soaps, perfume, etc. (Another example is paper without additional elements added!) These scents likely have natural influences, but would be from a candle or a soap rather than the object itself (or combination of objects).

Detergents fall into this category (being soaps), but more astringent cleansers (like bleach) would fall into a higher rarity class.

Again, things in this category are more supposed to be manufactured from natural ingredients, though we're sure some detergents and such become more artificial ingredient wise depending on source. Please ensure you're going with the spirit of this category when selecting scents!

This scent category includes smells that are artificial, further examples being plastic or bleach. They're non-edible, non-organic, and very far from any "natural" influences. 

This rare scent category revolves around scents involving memories or experiences- very human centered. Childhood might be one example. This is generally the rarest category lore wise. 

This animal influence category does not include fish-adjacent/aquatic mammals like whales, dolphins, etc. Some mammals also have species-exclusive traits, depending on said species. 

This category includes: avian, reptilian, aquatic, and amphbian types. Face still needs to generally resemble a mammalian Whiffling in most cases, but can have some alternative influences (see. beaks on avian Whifflings). For aquatics, they still also need four limbs. See more in Design Guide. 

This category includes any animal species that are mythical or imaginary, ex. dragons or unicorns. 

Any scent that reflects a flowering entity, some examples: red rose, may lily, cherry blossom, etc. 

A generally small pair [1 PAIR] of membranous wings on the back of a Whiffling. These wings may also be PARTIALLY covered in feathers, but no more than 50%, and have a sort of "shedding" effect, something akin to a mixed type of "angel/devil" wing. The membrane-aspect of the wings should be very visible and be the main attention on the trait. 

Please note that dragon-type Whifflings may have a pair of membranous wings, but their natural pair does have scaling on them. They can have a secondary back membrane wing pair with this trait (that doesn't necessarily need scales on them). 

Any additional pairs of eyes on a Whiffling, most common is 1 additional eye, but other types have been discovered. Up to 8 eyes on a Whiffling have been observed (so the original 2 eyes + 6 additional). To combine this trait with the Heterochromia trait you can use it for 8 differently colored eyes but again you're going to see this less commonly lore wise. This trait can also be combined with other eye adjusting traits, black sclera and shaped eye pupil for example, but they need to present the same way in the final design. 

These tails are generally copies of the Whiffling's main tail, but may have some variation. Multiple tails are completely split from one another. 

This Whiffling has a forked tail, a tail that isn't completely split in two. 

This Whiffling has a forked tongue, this trait can be an animal exclusive trait in some animal influences. 

This trait can also encompass variations or horns and antlers, but must be on the head. Some Whifflings have animal exclusive trait-adjacent horns. At max a Whiffling can have 2 pairs of Devilish Horns + an additional set of Animal Exclusive Horns (for a total of 3). Multiple Devilish Trait horns require an additional Devilish trait slot.

A Whiffling with this trait has longer than average claws on its hands or feet, long enough to possibly make them a bit awkward in their dexterity. Alternatively, this can affect one claw (one finger), all claws (on hands / feet), or alternative claws (one finger long one finger not long). Such as a sort of raptor-claw adaptation! 

Similarly to the Monstrous Claws trait, teeth affected by this trait may impact a Whiffling's speech. They're more than just small fangs or sharper canines.
