Need some advice on magic for

I know some are a given on what to do, like they can find their focus, heal their focus, become more like their focus
But manipulate gets away from me, as does the level 1
Could blackberry be "smells as sweet as a wild blackberry" for its level one maybe? I dont know what to do for the snake though...
